Restless, fronted by guitar-ace Mark Harman, became hugely popular in the early 1980s Rockabilly revival. Their onstage energy appealled to the thriving Psychobilly scene (though they could never be described as a Psychobilly band) and they became regular house-packers at the London's legendary Klub Foot venue. Through the 90s they were one of the scene's few bands able to retain their popularity, constantly being an in-demand live act and releasing a string of top-notch albums on the Madhouse label. 'Rock 'n' Roll Train' is the best of the recordings from the Madhouse years. The superb songwriting, performance and production here illustrates how Restless were able to cross the borders of 'Billy and were one of the genre's few bands able to threaten mainstream success.
